Secretary General Ahmed Bening Wiisichong was received by the Hon. Minister for Youth and Sports and the Chairman of the National Youth Council of the Republic of The Gambia in Banjul.
They discussed continued political support to the Pan African Youth Union. The Pan African Youth Union remains grateful for the unyielding commitment and support from Hon. Minister Bakary Badjie and the Gambian National Youth Council.
The Secretary General was in Banjul to Join the leadership of the Gambian National Youth Council as they marked the bi-annual National Youth Conference and Festival (NAYCONF 2022).
The event brought together over 2000 young people from across the 7 regions of The Gambia under the theme ”The Role of Young People in the Maintenance of Peace and Security for the Socio-Economic development of the Country”
The Pan African Youth Union remains committed to supporting all National Youth Councils to build capacity and resilience to coordinate youth development efforts in member states.
