Secretary General Ahmed Bening Wiisichong led leaders of National Youth Councils and CSOs in West Africa to engage with the Minister for Youth and Sports Development of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in Abuja.
The delegation thanked the Hon. Minister and Government of Nigeria for hosting the West African Youth Security Summit and for the continued support of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the Pan African Youth Union.
The youth leaders expressed deep concern about the security situation within the West Africa subregion and the recurrence of unconstitutional changes.
The Hon. Minister reaffirmed the commitment of government to support the work of the Pan African Youth Union , He reassured the delegation of the Governments commitment to democracy and stability within the subregion.
The Pan African Youth Union will continue to mobilize and empower National Youth Councils and other Youth Civil Society Organizations to deliver a progressive and resilient Africa We want.
