In efforts to rally youth organizations around the renewal agenda across Eastern Africa, the leadership of PYU met with the Director-General of the United Nations office in Africa, H.E. Madam Hawa Bangura along with Deputy Secretary-General Roy Sasaka in Nairobi in August 2022.
The meeting was a courtesy call on the Director-General and also to brief Her Excellency on the work of the Pan African Youth Union, the reform Agenda and the new headquarters in Rabat. The team had constructive discussion on how to include African youth within the UN processes.
The DG of UN in Africa was passionate about youth development and inclusion.
